Do you think you get value for money for your council tax? Or do you think council tax goes up every year but services get worse? Are you happy with the state of the roads?

I am fed up of Surrey County Council getting worse every year. Independent auditors gave it the lowest mark in the country - 1 star - yet they spend our money sending us leaflets telling us how wonderful they are.

Now we have the Clegg-Cameron coalition. Voting Lib Dem or Tory means the same thing.

It is time for a new voice.

"If I am elected, I won't be popular with other councillors, because I won't be complacent like they are, as they say everything is OK.

We need a better council, not the same old parties who do nothing."

Third world roads from a third-rate council

I am fed up of driving on roads full of potholes. Sometimes the worst ones get patched, but frost and snow means they soon open up again. Hampshire roads seem much better - so why can Hampshire fix the roads but Surrey can't?

I'm also fed up of Tory councillors saying they will stop waste, but they won't even fire council directors who make huge mistakes. They let people who waste our money retire early and give them huge pensions.

I've lived in Worplesdon for 20 years and I care about our community. I won't just trot up to council meetings, claim expenses and do nothing. I will fight to make Worplesdon better.

Vote for change on July 15th.

My four priorities

  • NO MORE POTHOLES. Our roads need to replaced, not just patched up. As your councillor, I will not rest until we get new roads.
  • NO MORE POWER CUTS. No-one is doing anything about the ridiculous numbers of power cuts we have. Councillors don't seem to care. I will keep nagging the power companies until they fix the problem.
  • NO CUTS TO THE POLICE. The Tory/Lib Dem coalition will cut police numbers and put us all at risk. Only a Labour councillor will oppose these cuts.
  • NO POST OFFICE CUTS. Cameron and Clegg want to privatise the Post Office - we know that will mean our local post offices will close.
Vote PHILLIPS on July 15th
